No resource is more important than the food supply. Safe plentiful food from a self-sustaining and diversified production base is vital to our good health, economy, security and quality of life.

Farmers, ranchers, retailers and their production partners who guide VeriPrime, Inc. have developed VeriPrime Traceability Assurance System (VTAS) to meet increasing demands of the 21st century. Working together, these links in the food chain have established a “food safety utility” capable of providing an essential public service.

In bringing all segments of the food supply industry together, VeriPrime has formed a federation of cooperatives and has developed a supply chain traceability standard that enables producers and businesses, large and small, to meet official and marketplace standards in the most efficient, least costly way. Individual companies have ownership of VeriPrime in the form of free membership.

VeriPrime’s mission is to develop and maintain a quality program with viable, credible, monitored standards for traceability that provide its members, governmental and non-governmental purchasing organizations, consumers, and other stakeholders with assurance that livestock, produce and food products that have been certified as complying with the applicable standards and are traceable to their point of origin.

The VeriPrime Traceability Assurance Standard (VTAS) is designed to provide a standard process to deliver “Certified Traceable” food from “farm to fork.” Integrity of the standard will be maintained by visible third-party audit procedures.

VTAS participants are limited to those who pass an audit performed by Agri Food Certification.
